Advantages of Roofing Sheet

Material Variety

Roofing sheets are available in metal, polycarbonate, PVC, and bitumen, each offering unique properties and benefits.

Weather Resistance

Roofing sheets provide robust protection against various weather conditions, including rain, snow, hail, and UV radiation, ensuring long-lasting performance and shielding for the property.

Design Options

The versatility of roofing sheets extends to diverse designs and styles, allowing homeowners and builders to choose the perfect aesthetic to match their roofing aesthetics.

Cost-Effectiveness

Roofing sheets are often more cost-effective than traditional roofing materials due to easy installation and reduced structural support requirements. In addition, longevity translates into fewer maintenance expenses over time, contributing to overall savings.

Installation Ease

The simple installation processes of roofing sheets save time and labour costs. Their lightweight nature also simplifies handling and positioning during installation.

Low Maintenance

The low-maintenance requirements of roofing sheets make them an attractive option for those seeking a hassle-free roofing solution, reducing the need for ongoing upkeep and repair.

Application of Roofing Sheet

01

Industrial Usage

Industries leverage the strength and durability of these sheets for constructing warehouses, factories, and industrial facilities. The ability of certain roofing sheet materials to withstand heavy loads and resist corrosion makes them ideal for structures where robustness is paramount.

02

Agricultural Applications

The use of roofing sheets extends beyond urban landscapes. In rural areas, these sheets find applications in agriculture. Farm structures, greenhouses, and animal shelters often utilise these sheets for their durability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of installation. They create protective environments for crops, livestock, and equipment.

Residential Construction

Roofing sheets, including metal (such as steel, aluminum, or copper), asphalt shingles, and composite materials, are used to create durable, weather-resistant roofs for homes.

Types of Roofing Sheet

Metal roofing sheets:
Metal roofing sheets are one of the most durable and long-lasting roofing materials available. They are also relatively easy to install and low-maintenance. Metal roofing sheets can be made from a variety of metals, including galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and zinc.

Bitumen roofing sheets:
Bitumen roofing sheets are a more cost-effective roofing option than metal roofing sheets. They are also lightweight and easy to install. Bitumen roofing sheets are made from a mixture of asphalt, bitumen, and other fillers.

Polycarbonate roofing sheets:
Polycarbonate roofing sheets are a lightweight and transparent roofing material. They are often used in skylights and greenhouses to let in natural light. Polycarbonate roofing sheets are also impact-resistant and weather-resistant.

Fibre cement roofing sheets:
Fibre cement roofing sheets are a durable and low-maintenance roofing material. They are also fire-resistant and termite-resistant. Fibre cement roofing sheets are made from a mixture of cement, cellulose fibers, and water.

Plastic roofing sheets:
Plastic roofing sheets are a lightweight and affordable roofing option. They are also easy to install. Plastic roofing sheets are made from a variety of plastics, including PVC, ABS, and polycarbonate.

Color coated roofing sheet:
Sheets are coated with 55 percent aluminum, 43 percent zinc, and 1.5 percent silicon and mixed with high–quality colors that meet particular specifications in this form of roof sheet steel and another alloy. It is also available in a single color-coated version and a multicolor-coated version in various colors. This color coating provides the item a royal appearance while also providing the benefit of being non-corrosive.

Galvanized iron roofing sheet:
The galvanized iron coating has a unique metallurgical structure that protects against abrasion and mechanical damage during shipment, installation, and service. Galvanized iron roofing sheets are designed to automatically protect any damaged areas of the sheet. The sheets serve as a cathode or sacrificial layer of protection for any small areas that may be damaged during shipping. As a result, the covering protects the full length of the sheets.

Rubber roofing sheet:
Secondary roofing material is usually gladded over the current roof to provide heat resistance and waterproofing to achieve a single sheet frame. Rubber roofing sheet is primarily used for rehabilitation. Ethylene Propylene Diane Monomer Rubber is employed in this sheet, which is taped and bonded on top of the existing surface.

Process of Roofing Sheet

Raw materials

The foremost step in the process is converting the raw materials into the desired form. Raw materials like galvalume, aluminum, zinc, copper, and stainless steel are used in the process. Theraw materials are purified and melted down to form the metal coil.

Coatings

The coil goes into the coil coater where Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 coating system is applied. The substance is placed on a continuous coating line where it is cleaned and specially treated with paint and baked at a high temperature. At the end of each coating of paint, it is checked for quality assurance. The redundant check is also done before reaching the manufacturing process by quality assurance engineers.

Roller former

The third step in the process is allowing the metal coil to run into the roller former. A roller former plays a vital role in turning the metal coil into metal sheets and panels. The purpose of running the metal coils into a roller former is to reduce its thickness and achieve the desired grade. The shape and bend in the material are attained by the successive roll of the roller. The width of the sheet is adjusted manually as per the design.

Computer control unit

Our metal roofing systems use computerized control units to adjust speed, control, operation, and sheet length. Factory engineers adjust the rollers and cut the sheets to specific lengths.

Quality check

The product is immediately inspected for its color, appearance, and quality. Once the sheets pass the quality check they are packed carefully to transit so they can be installed on your roof for a lifetime.

Q: How could you guarantee your products quality?

A: Each piece of products is manufactured by certified workshops, inspected by us piece by piece according to national QA/QC standard. We also could issue the warranty to customer to guarantee the quality.

Q: What are the raw materials for roofing sheets?

A: Raw materials like galvalume, aluminum, zinc, copper, and stainless steel are used in the process.

Q: How much overhang for roof sheeting?

A: The general recommendation for roof sheathing overhang is approximately 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch beyond the fascia board. This measurement strikes a balance between providing adequate protection from the elements and maintaining structural integrity.

Q: How long does roof sheeting last?

A: Depending on the material and maintenance, corrugated roof sheeting can last anywhere from 30 to 50 years or more. The metal sheets' ability to withstand harsh weather conditions, such as heavy rain, strong winds, and extreme heat, adds to their long-lasting performance.

Q: How much overlap on corrugated roofing sheets?

A: Corrugated roofing sheets should overlap by at least one corrugation at the sides and 6-8 inches at the ends, depending on the roof pitch. For steeper roofs (pitch greater than 4/12), 6-inch end laps are sufficient, while lower-pitched roofs (less than 4/12) require 8-inch end laps. Overlapping more than the minimum can be beneficial, especially in areas with heavy rain or strong winds.
