Material:

Typically low-carbon steel (e.g., Q195, Q215), which has a low carbon content ensuring excellent softness and ductility.

Specification:

The 0.6mm is usually specified in millimeters or by a "wire gauge" number (around 22 AWG) and is quite precise.

Purpose of Annealing:

Relieves Internal Stress: Removes work-hardening caused during the drawing process.

Reduces Hardness, Increases Plasticity: Makes the wire very soft, easy to bend and coil, with minimal spring-back.

Achieves Specific Surface: After cooling in air, a layer of dark blue or black oxide film (primarily magnetite, Fe₃O₄) forms on the surface, giving it the "black" color. This oxide layer offers some rust resistance but is not completely rust-proof.
